SPRING EQUINOX WEEKEND 2027 • SOMERSET
Balancing Elements Retreat
Friday 19th March - Sunday 21st March 2027 | Frome, Somerset
If you’re feeling disconnected, discombobulated or craving deeper connection - this retreat will offer you more than just a deep breath as you step away from the responsibility of your day-to-day roles. Maybe you’ve gotten so good at getting on with it that you’re a little numb to life, off track or lost.
Whether you’re underwhelmed with work, struggling with parenting or caring commitments or feel like you’ve lost track of who you used to be - this is a chance to pause, recalibrate and come back feeling more you again.
with Emilie Joy Rowell
Limited early booking places available - reserve your place for £150 today
Maybe you’re sandwiched with parenting and caring for elders, joining with a partner for an essential shift in pace or it might be your first solo weekend away in too long -
Through exploring how the elements show up in life, we'll find ways to be with the parts that you find power in and discover how to nurture the less familiar to get more balanced in life.
Not everyone is looking for more calm. Some of us need more passion, power, creativity, inspiration or connection. These qualities are sometimes left behind in the drive for peace and quiet, when what most folk need is balance.
Retreat highlights:
Fireside welcome
Options for morning practices; yoga, wild swim, sunrise meditation
Breakfasts together
Embodied Elements workshop
Farmhouse lunches
Ancient woodland forest bathing walk
Daily downtime
Saturday evening feast
Four Elements Herbal Sauna

Step out of that loop of frazzled (just-about) functioning and get space to recognise yourself.
What's an experience with Emilie like?
Emilie's an experienced embodiment coach and has been facilitating mind and body courses and workshops since 2008. A former pro-hula hooper and biomechanics geek, she's passionate about helping people find balance between the visceral and the viscera - work and play / yin and yang / the sacred and the profane / the deep beauty in the boring everyday normal-ness.
She's definitely not a shaman and leans more bitch than witch.
Her work blends embodiment, archetypes, seasons and elements in ways that are simple, deep, practical and enjoyable.
If you're into The Emerald podcast, like bass-heavy music and enjoy cake you'll likely get on well.
Emilie took me through a whole hour of guided sauna and it was incredible. The best wellness experience I’ve ever had and I’ve done a LOT!
Sasha
Emilie offers a welcoming presence and a gentle invitation to shift the energy and re-centre the mind. Combining embodiment practices with sauna therapy, Emilie creates a safe space to feel seen, held and gently supported in the heat.
Her sessions are tender and soothing and a must-try.
Jesse
It's very rare that I find someone who holds space in a way that I can actually let go, and allow someone else to let me be vulnerable and open. And I felt that instantly with Emilie, the way that she held that energy of the embodiment session.

When I got home I felt really uplifted but calm. I slept really well and this morning felt more 'positive' in general.
- Karolyn
The best thing was having the time and space for someone to prompt me to think about how I could be making small changes that ultimately change the feeling of my day and how I feel moving through it.
